Welcome to the official website of National Defence Academy Alumni Association. This website is raised with the intention of giving an online platform for the alumni to interact with each other and with their Alma Mater. NDA Alumni Association is registered with a charitable society under the Societies Act 1860 on 21st May 2008. The Association functions from its registered office located at Sudan Block, National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla Pune. The Association is headed by the Commandant, NDA, as the President. All Payments to the Association in cash are required to be made to the office of the Association, and a receipt for the amount obtained.
Payments by cheque are to be deposited by hand to the office of the Association and a receipt obtained. The receipt issued against a cheque will be provisional, subject to realisation of the cheque.

No receipt shall be issued by NDAAA for these direct payments made to our bank account and deposit slip/online receipt issued by the bank shall be considered as receipt for such payment.
Payment can also be made to the Association using UPI Transfer by payment to ‘NDAAA@SBI’. QR code for the same is as given below:
All payments of amount more than Rs. 2000/- are required to be furnished with mandatory PAN-Card No and permanent address of the payee, as required by mandate of the Income Tax department.
The Association also accepts voluntary donation to the corpus fund from members and non-members (Indian citizens). Such donations will be accepted by the Association without any pre-conditions and will be merged with the corpus of the Association. The fund will thereafter be administered as per provision of the bylaw of the Association. No preconditions can be assigned by the donor for the utilisation of the funds so donated.
The Alumni Association undertakes various charitable acts as per provisions enumerated in the bylaws of the Association.
The Alumni activities conducted at NDA are:
- NDA Day - 16th Jan:
- Hut of Remembrance Function.
- Motivational Award to class 3 & 4 employees of NDA.
- Interaction with Cadet Appointments
- Officers’ Day:
- Interaction with NDA officers.
- Visit by Officers of NDAAA:
- Visit by alumni officers on various functional events conducted by NDA.
The NDA Alumni Association has three types of membership:
- Life Membership: All Alumni who have successfully passed out of the Academy on applying in the prescribed form (attached below as PDF file) shall be issued Life Membership, on payment of a one-time Corpus Fund donation of Rs 3000/-. No subscription is payable by the member.
- Associate Membership:
- All Ex cadets, boarded out from the Academy on medical grounds, are eligible for Associate Membership. The application in the format along with the recommendation of three course-mates, who are themselves members, are required to be submitted to the office of NDAAA. Of these three, two should be from the last squadron of the applicant. The Payment of Rs 3000/- to the corpus fund of the NDAAA as a one-time donation is to be made and the application is to be approved by the governing Council of the NDAAA.
- Widows of Alumni (irrespective of the membership status of the alumni) are eligible to apply for and may be granted Associate Membership of the Association. No payment of one-time donation is required from Widows when applying for such membership.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
- Q1. Who can become a member of the NDA Alumni Association?
Any individual who has completed his training at the National Defence Academy and has passed out is entitled to be a life member of the association. Ex Cadets of the Academy who have been boarded out of the Academy on medical grounds are eligible to become Associate members of the Academy. Widows of Alumni can also apply for Associate membership.
- Q2. I am eligible but how do I obtain a membership?
If you are meeting the criteria, you can apply for membership in the prescribed format to the office of the NDA Alumni Association.
- Q3. I was boarded out on reasons other than medical grounds. Can I be a member?
No. Only cadets who have completed training or those who have been boarded out on medical grounds can apply. Cadets boarded out of the academy on reasons other than Medical Invalidation are not entitled to be members.
- Q4. I resigned while under training at the Academy. Can I become a member?
No provision exists for cadets who have resigned to become members.
- Q5. Is there any payment for membership?
On applying for membership, the applicant is required to make a one-time non-refundable donation of Rs 3,000/- to the Corpus Fund of the Association. No charges thereafter are payable by you. Widows of Alumni however do not have to pay any charges/donation on application.
- Q6. I am not a member. Can I donate to the organisation?
Every Indian Citizen (irrespective of membership) is entitled to make a voluntary donation to the Corpus Fund of the National Defence Academy Alumni Association. The donations can be made in cash, cheque or by online remittance to the Association. However, donations above Rs 2,000/- from each entity are required to be accompanied by details of the PAN Card No, Full Postal Address and proof of Citizenship.
- Q7. I am a member but have lost my card. How do I obtain a duplicate card?
If you have a membership but have lost your card, please lodge an FIR for the loss and then write to us with a copy of the FIR, requesting a duplicate card. Also make a payment of Rs 100/- to us by cash/cheque/online payment to cover the administrative expenditure involved in printing a new card and postage.
